Working for the community
Where possible the church uses its buildings and volunteers to help in our local community. The leadership is always open to ideas. Here a some of the regular events. Watch out for others that occur less ferquently in the diary dates.
This parents and toddlers group is very popular with young mums and dads too. The Sunday School rooms offer a range of play equipment ideal for toddlers to expend all their boundless energy, under the watchful eye of parents. It is also a time to share the joys and challenges of parenthood while having a coffee together.
The group meets on Wednesdays during term time from 10:00 to 11:30a.m.
Up to four choices of home made soup are on offer and you can try them all if you wish! Home made cakes and pastries and a hot drink complete the meal. This is proving to be a real success, especially to the pensioners. Days can be long and lonely. This is a great way to break the day, share a meal and have a chat with friends.
If you know of anyone who would enjoy this, why not invite them?
The church brings a service to several residential care homes regularly. Anyone may lend their support for these. Look out for them on the church calendar.
